EmpirBus NXT onboard with Lloyds Classification at Griffon.
Griffon Hoverwork have recently delivered a craft to the Canadian Provincial Government of Québec’s maritime transport organization, Société des Traversiers du Québec (STQ) and will be used to support the local community to improve the transportation network in the area. The craft will be required to operate all year round with winter temperatures below -30°C.
The craft is built to international classification (Lloyds Register and IMO HSC code) and is capable of carrying up to 20 passengers plus crew and cargo at speed in excess of 30 knots over ice, snow, water and land.
The NXT system provides robust distribution, control, monitoring and alarm functions utilising a NMEA2000 network and comprises of a multifunction display and several DC Modules (DCM). To cover unforeseen circumstances every output may be manually controlled and there are extensive fail safe features.
